This week's list of new and returning products follows a few words about the 2021 Siciliano's Homebrew Competition
Preamble by Steve Siciliano
I am pleased to announce that a Best Bitter brewed by Andrew Brouwers was awarded Best of Show in the 2021 Siciliano's Homebrew Competition.
As the BOS winner Andrew receives a $500.00 gift card card from Siciliano's Market, will have the opportunity to brew his award winning recipe at Big Lake Brewing and last, but certainly not least, gets his name engraved on the prestigious Siciliano's Cup.
Out of the 87 beers entered in this year's competition a total of 75 were awarded medals with the breakdown as follows:
Gold 29
Silver 23
Bronze 23
All entries in the Siciliano’s Homebrew Competitions are judged by industry professionals and/or trained judges according to the standards of style, not in comparison to each other, with the exception of the Best of Show rounds. Entries that received scores falling within designated point totals were awarded medals.
Thanks to all who entered and special thanks to the judges and stewards who volunteered their time and helped make the competition a success.
